Clay Cavern Rat Visitor

Out of all the cameras I have set up, clay cavern is still my favourite and it  gives consistently  good views of voles and wood mice and even shrews! Tonight, whilst watching my cameras, I noticed a larger head than normal in clay cavern…. a rat! He managed to nibble through the clay tunnel, making a hole big enough to allow him in to eat the goodies! Although I don’t have a problem with rats and I had one on hedgecam earlier in the week, I want to keep this space for the smaller rodents. I am going to need to do some adjustments to this area to limit the size of the visitors… there are plenty of other spaces that the rat can feed if he is hungry!
