Join Jack & Dawreen for

Set your alarm and celebrate with thousands of people across the country at dawn to listen to the dawn chorus… one of our natural wonders.

Sunday 3rd May is International Dawn Chorus Day, and the RSPB would usually be inviting us to experience this wonder at one of their reserves, but as they're closed we're going to be celebrating from the comfort of our homes, and yours!

I am inviting you to share my dawn chorus, if you cannot access your own, by logging onto my jackdaw cam (below), set high in an oak tree in my garden! Not only can you watch Jack and Dawreen, my jackdaws wake up, but the microphone in the camera picks up the bird song of lots of different species.

I will be online, on Twitter, from 5am- 7am in association with the RSPB's  #BreakfastBirdwatch - The Dawn Chorus Special,  and Ordnance Survey's  'Get Outside Inside' Campaign. I'll be  aiming to tweet and answer any questions for me, coming in with that the #BreakfastBirdwatch. I will also be keeping an eye on the RSPB Dawn Chorus FB page as well.

You can access the Lichfield dawn chorus from the comfort of your own home and soak in the wonderful early morning bird calls from this Oak tree nest box.

NB: The audio on this live stream only works on tablets and PCs

Make sure you have the volume turned up!

Species we may hear:
